Sometimes

Sometimes
I just want a cloud to pass
and lift me up
and carry me away to another place.
Somewhere
where the silence lives
where thoughts are kept
and hidden.
Where no-one else
can touch your skin
or jump into your head,
where birds sleep,
where the wind is still.

I wish
just for a moment
I could sit inside a tree
and listen to it's heart beat,
it's roots entwining
around me
and holding me tight,
making me forget.
Forget the noise,
forget the thoughts,
forget the world.
Quietly alone.

  3. This is a wonderful poem...

We all seek this peace. Follow the call.

The great secret is that heaven is really on earth. We just need to learn how to see it.

    Enjoy it all,

  4. Yes, I would dearly like to do the same. Beautiful poem and such stunning photographs especially the roots and sculpture. Did you take the photo? Can you tell me anything about it?

  6. Thank you all so much! I don't often publish my poems, and I rarely write anything...It just kind of happened!
The photo of the buddha in the tree I found on the net somewhere, but I do wish I'd taken it!
I don't know much about it.
    xx
